Book Exhibition in Ganesh Puja by Oriya Samaj

Ganesh Puja is a time of the year when whole atmosphere in Bangalore starts reverberating with the vibes of 'Ganpati Bappa Morya' and arrival of Ganpati is celebrated by one and all with ultimate religious and spiritual fervor. Bangalore being hub of IT and Software, it is home to diaspora of various Indian states, Orissa being one of them. Orissa Samaj in Bangalore celebrates Ganesh Puja in grand way at two locations Koramangala and MurugeshPallya (Old Airport Road). This has become an occasion for the Oriya fraternity to assemble, network and enjoy Oriya Cultural activities and cuisine in down South Bangalore. This year one of our dedicated Yuga Sainink Mihir Bhaiya who also belong to Oriya community approached Oriya Samaj management to have a Book Exhibtion from Gayatri Pariwar Bangalore at both Ganesh Puja locations. Oriya Samaj management was kind enough to not only allowing us but also provided support by giving space, tables, chairs etc. for our book exhibition. Gaytri Pariwar Bangalore is grateful to them and pray to Gurusatta to shower his blessings on Oriya samaj.

Yug sainiks (volunteers) assembled at 8:00 clock in the morning. Mihir bhaiya and Gayatri Shakti kendra team brought all the books banners and other accessories at both the locations. It took around an hour or so to arrange everything and then volunteers were ready for the show. Primarily Oriya, English and Hindi books were showcased in the exhibition. People started coming around 9 'O clock in good numbers. Great interest was shown from the the assembled people in the books written by Param Pujya Gurudev. Yug Siniks explained them about Gaytri Pariwar and also told them about the personalty of our Grudeva and his divine mission. One objective of this book exhibition was to spread awareness about Ashwamedha Yagya which is going to be held in Palace Ground Bangalore from 17 to 20 Jan 2014. Yug sainiks explained the importance of Ashwamedha Yagya and its importance and relevance in contemporary world to the assembled gathering.

Details of the people coming to the exhibition were collected and will be appended in our database so as to update them of our forthcoming activities. Gayatri Mantra lekhan importance was conveyed to each person and one or more copy of Gayatri Mantra lekhan book was given to them. They were told to complete the books latest by 17th Jan 2014 and bring them in our Ashwanmedha Yagya for purna ahuti. This process made sure that the effective invitation was extended to all the parijans who came to book exhibition counter.

All in all this event was a grand success and achieved its purpose of spreading awareness about our Ashwamedha Yagya. A big thanks to all the volunteers/Yug-Sainks who conducted this event with utmost discipline and sincerity. We expect more of such events to come as very little time is left for our Ashwamedha Yagya.
